Color me surprised that Business Insider cares, but I like this ranked list of all 89 movies based on Marvel comics.
It's been 40 years since audiences saw their very first theatrical movie based on a Marvel comic — would you believe that 1986's "Howard the Duck" was the first major motion picture based on a character from Marvel?
I saw Howard the Duck in a screening at Atlanta Fantasy Fair. It was a ridiculous movie, but 14-year-old me couldn’t have been more excited. Marvel films are at a different level today, but I was glad to see Howard the Duck wasn’t the worst ranked film on the list.
