I stayed up as late as I could last night, following along with New Rockstars live stream of Disney’s showcase from D23. Once we hit the X-Men and midnight EDT, I just couldn’t stay up, especially given I had a mini family reunion the next day.

In the cold light of morning, I’ve been searching online for a recap on everything I missed, especially with the Star Wars stuff airing after Marvel. I have two recaps to recommend.

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event brought a lot of surprises and first looks of what the entertainment company is preparing in the following months and years.
Taking place over three days in Anaheim, California, Disney kicked off the weekend with a showcase that teased what is to come and updates from Avengers: Doomsday, the Star Wars franchise, the new X-Men cast, a teaser for the new season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians as well as first looks at the live-action Tangled adaptation, Coco 2, Oswald and The Bluey Movie, among many others.
